The Lovell family farm is a 5th generation 500 acre cattle farm on the Soque River in beautiful Habersham County Georgia. Our Farm was awarded the Upper Chattahoochee River Soil and Water Conservationist of the year in 2014. We treat our customers like family and only sell beef that we would feed our own family.
Do you know where the beef you purchased at the grocery store comes from? Our beef is born on our farm in Northeast Georgia. It doesn't leave the farm until it goes to the processor.
Our beef is all natural with no hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. Our cattle graze on bermunda, fescue, natural forage (hay), and natural grain to ensure a well balanced diet.
Try our half or whole beef, cut to your specifications. We will need your name, telephone number, the amount you wish to purchase (half or whole). You can put this information in our contact us tab above, call, or text. us at 706-499-7812. When we take your order for a half or whole beef, we will give you an approximate date when it will go to the meat processor. When the steer goes to the processor they will call you to get your instructions for how you want your beef cut. The beef will then dry-age in a climate controlled cooler for approximately 2 weeks before being cut. The reason it is dry aged, is that dry-aging helps tenderize the meat. Cutting, packaging and freezing takes another day, so your order will be ready for pickup about two weeks after the date the animal went to the processor. You will pick up the meat at the processor and at that time, we ask that you pay them for processing. Blalock Meats is our processor of choice. This is a state and federal inspected facility.
